This is a list of characters and groups you may reference in a submission:
- Association of Bad Byzantine Cantors: A group which formed to oppose Prof. Herring's attempts to eliminate Tone 9.
- Bishop Joseph (Jarabinec): The nice Orthodox bishop of Cranberry, PA who interestingly does not support ECAP.
- Chrysostom's Papists: A group begun to counter ECAP; Eastern Catholics who might take their papal loyalty a bit too far.
- Eastern Catholics Against the Pope/ECAP: Well, the name is kind of self-explanatory.
- The National Catholic Spy: A newspaper run by non-Catholics which specializes in reporting "news" about the Catholic Church which is obviously inaccurate.
- Pope Bonaventure: Often misquoted and misunderstood pope who is actually doctrinally sound, similar to Pope Francis in the real world.
- Protoreader Theodore Anathayich: Professor of Ancient Theology at St. Methusaleh's Metropolitan College in Teatree, WV. With his Desert Father-length beard, he is fascinated by the oldest and most obscure of Eastern Christian writings and practices, and he has a special place in his heart for the Great Synod of Târgi Lăpșu.
- St. Nicholas Seminary: A seminary located in Steubenville, OH. Submissions are free to add to its staff. Positions currently held (characters usable unless specified) are:
- Professor of Music: Nicholas Herring, a good cantor whose life's work (besides attaining holiness) is eradicating Tone 9 (the actual tone, not Tone Nine News).
